

Our ICU multidisciplinary team involves a range of health professionals, working together to deliver comprehensive patient care. It includes:
- ICU Medical Staff- Staff Specialists , Post graduate Fellows , ICU Advanced Trainees and Junior medical staff
- ICU Nursing Staff
- Allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, dieticians and social workers,
- Support staff – such as Research coordinators, QERI (Quality Education research & Information) officer, IT support staff, Ward Clerks, Wards men and ICU secretaries.
Multidisciplinary teams convey many benefits to both the patients and the health professionals working on the team. These include improved health outcomes, enhanced satisfaction for patients, more efficient use of resources and enhanced job satisfaction for team members.
To ensure optimum functioning of the team and effective patient outcomes, we encourage:

- Agreed clinical governance structures;
- Good communication at all levels;
- Agreed systems and protocols for communication and interaction between team members.
